Flipkart price tracker: how to monitor price drops (with a real run on 60 phone listings)
Short answer: to track Flipkart prices, run a Flipkart scraper on your search keywords once a day with monitor mode on: the first run saves every product's price and stock, and each later run returns only products that are new, changed price (with the previousPrice), or went in or out of stock. On 3 November 2026 we ran the Flipkart Scraper on three phone searches and got 60 listings: 27 in stock, 59 Flipkart Assured, with prices from ₹14,548 to ₹122,300. The same phone often had very different prices across listings, for example a Galaxy S24 Exynos 256 GB at ₹55,999 in most colours but ₹74,999 in one.

What it shows
- A search is not one price. Flipkart lists each colour and storage option separately, and listings for the same model can differ by thousands of rupees. Any tracker has to follow individual product IDs, not "the price of the S24".
- Apple barely discounts, Android brands discount heavily. The median listed discount against MRP was 2% for Apple listings, but about 30% for the Galaxy S24 and Redmi Note 14. Note this is the discount against the MRP Flipkart shows, not against the product's past selling price.
- Stock matters as much as price. Only 8 of 20 Galaxy S24 and 4 of 20 Redmi Note 14 listings were in stock, and all 5 iPhone 16 Pro listings were out of stock. A "price" on an out-of-stock listing may be stale, so alerts on restocks (
back_in_stock) are useful. - Search results drift to newer models. The "iphone 16" search returned 7 iPhone 17 listings among its top 20, so filter by title if you want one model.
How this was collected
- Source: public Flipkart search result and product data, no login.
- Date and method: 3 November 2026, run locally with the Flipkart Scraper, keywords
iphone 16,samsung galaxy s24andredmi note 14, 20 results per search, sorted by popularity, no proxy. - Not tested here: monitor mode needs at least two runs on different days to show changes, so this post only shows the first snapshot. The price-drop behaviour comes from the actor's documented monitor mode, not from a measured week of data.
- Caveats: the sample is the top 20 listings per search on one day, not all of Flipkart. Prices are in rupees at the moment of the run and change often. Discounts are against the MRP shown on Flipkart. Out-of-stock listings can show an old price.
Get the same data yourself
First run, to build the snapshot (it returns everything as new):
{
"searchKeywords": ["iphone 16", "samsung galaxy s24", "redmi note 14"],
"maxResultsPerSearch": 20,
"sortBy": "popularity",
"onlyChanges": true
}
Schedule the same input daily in Apify. From the second run on, each row has changeTypes (new, price_drop, price_increase, back_in_stock, out_of_stock) and previousPrice, so you can send an alert only when something moved. You can also set minPrice, maxPrice, minRating, inStockOnly, assuredOnly, or paste Flipkart search or category URLs.
Ask an AI assistant instead: connect the scraper through the Apify MCP server (https://mcp.apify.com/?tools=get_anything/flipkart-scraper) and ask "Search Flipkart for Redmi Note 14, list the in-stock listings under ₹17,000 with a rating of 4.2 or more, and tell me which have a bank offer."
FAQ
How can I track price drops on Flipkart?
Run a scraper on your keywords or product URLs on a daily schedule with monitor mode on. It remembers the last price of each product and returns only those whose price went down or up, with the previous price.
Do I need a Flipkart account or API key?
No. The scraper reads the same public listing data you see in the browser, with no login or key. You only need a free Apify account to run it on the platform.
Is the Flipkart discount percentage a real discount?
It is the difference between the selling price and the MRP shown on the listing. It does not prove the price was higher last week, which is why tracking your own price history is more reliable.
Why do prices for the same phone differ?
Flipkart treats each colour and storage variant as its own listing, and listings can come from different sellers or be stale if out of stock. In our run, Galaxy S24 Exynos 256 GB ranged from ₹55,999 to ₹74,999.
Can I search in Hindi or use category URLs?
Yes. Keywords can be in English or Hindi, and you can paste Flipkart search or category URLs to keep the filters you set on the site.
